Experience virtual test driving at the Open House hosted by IPG Automotive
The Open House hosted by IPG Automotive has established itself as the meeting point for the virtual test driving industry. Every year in March, experts from the automotive and supplier industry as well as members of research institutes and universities met in Karlsruhe to exchange information and learn about innovations in the industry. At the event, IPG Automotive presented news of the CarMaker product family as well as hardware products and test systems. With our booth, we were part of the accompanying exhibition, where we presented our application of the simulation solutions by IPG Automotive:
Vehicle-In-the-Loop and Road Load Data Generation with ADMA: Virtual test methods at IPG Open House in Karlsruhe, Germany
At the Open House 2017 GeneSys and IPG presented the Vehicle-In-the-Loop-Technology and the Road-load-data Generation for CarMaker with an ADMA (Automotive Dynamic Motion Analyzer) from GeneSys.
ADMA is a high-precision gyro measurement system with DGPS which was developed specifically for vehicle dynamics testing. It delivers measurement data of all vehicle movements up to 2 cm accuracy in real time. A test drive will provide the participants a live experience of a parking-assist system steering a real-world test car into a virtual parking space. Furthermore, visitors could get comprehensive and detailed information about how route data are being generated and then used for simulation in IPG CarMaker, e.g. for optimizing drive trains.
