How to scale ADAS Testing with objective KPIs

Webinar: ADMA – Basic

  • Target group: ADMA users, test engineers, development engineers

Are you using systems from our ADMA family or planning to use them? In this webinar, we will give you a brief insight into the product portfolio of the ADMA family and how it works.

The aim of this training is to provide you with the basis for collecting precise and reliable data so that you are well equipped for your future test drives. During the training as well as after the webinar there will be room for individual questions and open discussions.

Topics
  • Product portfolio ADMA family
  • Basics and principles of a high-precision inertial system
  • Available interfaces
  • Proper mounting of the inertial sensor in the vehicle
  • Configuration of the ADMA via the Web Interface
  • Data packets
  • Initialization

Webinar: ADMA – Urban area

  • Target group: ADMA users, test engineers, development engineers

In this webinar, we will provide you with an overview of the challenges of measuring the position, distance, speed, and yaw angle of a moving vehicle for ADAS testing or other applications in difficult environments such as urban areas.

We recommend this webinar to all ADMA users who have some basic operational knowledge of the ADMA. It is also recommended for those involved with measuring motion and position data in different urban environments and scenarios and are considering improvements in the post-processing and analysis of data.

Topics
  • The challenge
  • Use of NTRIP and RINEX correction data
  • Advantages of an external velocity signals
  • Post-Processing via ADMA-PP
Aim of the seminar
  • Identify and solve challenges in urban measurements
  • Recognizing the benefits:
  • Use of RINEX data
  • External speed signal
  • Post-processing of measurement data via ADMA-PP

Webinar: How to scale ADAS Testing with objective KPIs

  • How do you scale ADAS testing with objective KPIs?

Panel discussion with MDynamix, GeneSys, atlatec and University Kempten – and how they were mastered in a joint project for the sports car manufacturer Porsche.

Modern ADAS functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane-Keep Assist/LKAS and others are a highly innovative domain. Some developments are driven by regulatory requirements (NCAP etc), others aim to give car manufacturers an edge over the competition in terms of comfort and driving pleasure.

For the latter in particular, however, regulatory requirements are not sufficient KPIs for developing and testing ADAS functions. One of the biggest challenges is how to define and measure meaningful, objective values for something as emotional and subjective as “driving pleasure.” So how can ADAS testing keep up with innovations in the field?

Aim of the seminar
  • Define objective criteria for ADAS performance
  • Create ground truth/HD map data for public test roads
  • Recording reference data for vehicle position/pose during test drives
  • Analyze relevant driving situations and recreate them in the virtual space/simulation
